چکیده
Future trends in maritime technology include the application of additive spare parts management. Nowadays, 3D printing has become an integral many fields. Maritime industry is one fields where a focus research. To prepare Electro-technical Officers (ETOs) for future, it necessary to investigate parameters which help with deciding whether use or order part. This paper aims research influencing as job carried out by ETOs aboard ships. Conclusions about filament density and quality printed are derived presented. Suggestions future work possible applications given.

Printing 3D objects with interlocking parts
Recent advances in 3D printing technologies bring wide range of applications from fast prototyping to product manufacturing. However, one intrinsic limitation of 3D printing is that we cannot fabricate a single object that is larger than the working volume of a 3D printer. To address this issue, we may partition the given object into 3D parts of manageable sizes for printing, and then assemble ...
متن کاملOn spare parts optimization
In the book “Optimal inventory modeling of systems: multi-echelon techniques” the author Craig Sherbrooke, who has developed several important model in this area, describes a part of the model cosidered in this manuscript as follows (in “aircraft language”): “When a malfunction is diagnosed on an aircraft, the malfuncioning item is removed from the aircraft and brought into base supply. If a sp...

In this paper the results of a research project that deals with the conceptual design and evaluation of cross-company logistics models are presented. A simulation and evaluation model was designed that supports the development of new logistics concepts. Therefore models for the calculation of emissions, of costs and of logistic competitiveness, have to be created and combined. Based on the sust...
متن کاملCondition based spare parts supply
We consider a spare parts stock point that serves an installed base of machines. Each machine contains the same critical component, whose degradation behavior is described by a Markov process. We consider condition based spare parts supply, and show that an optimal, condition based inventory policy is 20% more efficient on average than a standard, state-independent base stock policy. We further...
متن کاملOptimizing Spare Parts Inventory in Shipping Industry
The paper aims at proposing a criterion to optimize the initial level of spare parts inventory for a ship. Adequate stockholding of critical spare parts becomes essential in naval industry characterized by heavy utilization of equipment and machinery and by really specific operating conditions. Generic approaches are inadequate and specific ones result in analysis too shallow. An application fo...
